The Youth Sub-Committee's purpose is to support infrastructure development for adolescent treatment in Illinois. Infrastructure development strives to improve the adolescent treatment system by:
- Linking and coordinating services, budgets, and benfits across state agencies;
- Developing policies that improve licensing and credentialing for providers of adolescent services;
- Increasing the number of agencies using evidence-based treatment and comprehensive, standardized assessments;
- Improving workforce development;
- Disseminating knowledge about model programs, research, and opportunities for funding or other involvement;
- Involving families.
